I grew up in a family who would walk you to your car when you would leave our home. Stand around said car for about another 20 minutes saying "good-bye"... provide embraces and generate some giggles with last minute memories of our time together. Then, we would stand there side-by-side with each other waving with full gusto until your car was out of site. Then, and only then, would we head back inside.

This is still how it goes several decades later. But, now I have passed on this good-bye ritual to my hubby... and to my kiddo. People may laugh, people may not get it, but then.... some do.

We have a very special day coming up for my kiddo this weekend.

Family is coming to town, decorations have been purchased, our clothing fashion is stunning and awaiting the big day, cake and petit fours are ordered, etc..... etc.... etc....

But, nothing -- NOTHING -- could express how much I love this kiddo.

How much I am proud of him.

How much he makes my heart happy and my soul sing with joyful praise.

He is a blessing beyond measure...

I am thankful that God has allowed me to be a part of his everyday love, care, and guidance.

I am thankful that God has allowed me to share him with the world.

Our family has been down and out this entire week with some sort of virus.

We are eventually going to push through this.... eventually.

We have to, we just won tickets to the NCAA Final Four Championships this Saturday and Monday!

In the meantime, I saw this quote and loved the depth of it.

I love the color green.

Especially, just a little pop of green in a light and bright setting... this is almost perfection:

I had to dig through my closet to find some green to wear today.

Kiddo has green jeans --- fun!

Hubby has on a green tie and cuff links.... oh, and socks. Fun!

I made green scrambled eggs for breakfast with a 4 leaf clover display composed from green apples... FUN!

I had this wild and crazy weekend!

It was SO out of the ordinary for me.... I was PAMPERED!

Boy, do I mean... I WAS PAMPERED!

I was actually a model for a day!

A real-life model.... with a photo shoot.... with a stylist... with makeup.... with hair.... it was 

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

I have never felt more beautiful.

I want to be beautiful every day and this is a great way to "apply the make-up".

For today, I can share with you something else that was an honor and privilege to do.

I shared my Heart Story with Univision.com for an article on their website to help raise awareness about Heart Disease in women.
